Lisa Smith

Lisa Smith is an extraordinary lady with Down syndrome who has taken the gift of interpretive signing and added to it her unashamed faith, allowing her to express herself in absolute freedom and adoration for the Lord.  Lisa shares her gift and testimony of God’s grace and proclaims His Glory to audiences across America.

Lisa has had the honor of accompanying song artists like Sandi Patty, Kathy Troccoli, Avalon, Sheila Walsh, The Women of Faith Worship Team, BeBe Winans, Larnelle Harris, Mark Lowery, Canadian singer Sean Jones, David Foster, The Tenors, Gladys Knight, and the acappella group ReVoiced.

She traveled with Women of Faith for three years performing at 27 conferences with several of the above-mentioned Christian artists.  Lisa has appeared twice on the Dr. Phil Show

In 2008, Lisa began to travel for Best Buddies International as an ambassador and performer.  Best Buddies is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.  They are all about friendships and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.  Lisa has performed at their annual International Leadership Conferences for ten years, as well as, individual Best Buddies Fund-Raising Galas from Miami to California.  In 2016, Lisa was presented with the “Spirit of Courage Award” from Best Buddies International Founder and Chairman, Anthony Kennedy Shriver.

Lisa is an inspiration and encouragement for others, whether performing with an artist or alone, to believe in themselves and their dreams; and that all things are possible with God.   Lisa lives in Texas with her family and her Maltese puppy, Hannah Grace.
